Work: Linezolid is an oxazolidinone class antibiotic. Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. Used for severe gram-positive bacterial infections including hospital-acquired and community-acquired pneumonia, complicated skin and skin structure infections, MRSA and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE) infections.
