Work: Intravenous broad-spectrum antibiotic. Ciprofloxacin infusion for severe bacterial infections when oral route not possible. Used in hospital for urinary tract, respiratory, skin, intra-abdominal infections, sepsis etc. Fluoroquinolone - inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase.
