Work: It is an active Vitamin D3 analogue (Alfacalcidol). It increases intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate. Used for osteoporosis, osteomalacia, renal bone disease, hypoparathyroidism, vitamin D dependent rickets and calcium imbalance due to kidney disease.
