Work: Antidiabetic combination for Type 2 Diabetes. Sitagliptin (DPP-4 inhibitor) increases incretin levels to increase insulin release and decrease glucagon, Metformin HCl decreases liver glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity. Used to control high blood sugar when diet, exercise and single agent not enough.
